Who We Are
Lee's Community Power Initiative is a community-centered clean energy initiative operated by Lee's Charger Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
We work directly with community service organizations, public and private schools, workforce development programs, utility providers, and local, state, and federal government agencies to expand clean energy access, deploy EV charging infrastructure, improve air quality, and create education and career pathways in underserved communities.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower underserved communities by expanding access to clean energy and EV charging infrastructure, improving air quality, and delivering education and workforce training that prepares residents for careers in the clean energy economy.
Our Vision
We envision communities where clean transportation is accessible to all, residents are trained and employed in high-growth clean energy careers, and environmental health and economic opportunity advance together.

Our Story
2020 — Foundation
The Beginning
Lee's Charger Inc. was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to bring clean energy solutions to underserved communities in Prince George's County.
2022 — Expansion
NextGen Charge Launch
We launched our flagship workforce development program, providing EVITP-aligned training and certification pathways for residents entering the clean energy economy.
2024 — Regional Growth
DMV Expansion
Our impact now extends across the entire DMV region, with 20+ charging sites deployed and 500+ community members trained in clean energy careers.
